Here’s my favorite passage from part I:

“Shifting his attention to his rearview mirror, he adjusted it as well, so he could see two of the three tractor-trailers. While less likely, the rigs were also possibilities. They tended to be more productive for prostitutes, especially of the female type. However, since none of them worked this far out on the highway, the men within these trucks could well be options, for bi-coastal trucking readily leads to bi-curious pragmatism. These men were not Rudy’s preference.”
